10 Ways to Pray for Your Church

1.      Pray for God’s Glory – Pray that we would all be motivated by the glory of God in every word and deed. Pray that we would be convicted by any motive that promotes self.

2.      Pray for Humility – Jesus was a servant! His people reflect him through a humble serving attitude. Pray that a humble spirit would mark us all. Every issue in our church would be solved through surrendering our pride and following the suffering servant.

3.      Pray for Love - Pray the we would know how great the love of the Father has for us so that we would be free from the approval of man and free to joyfully and freely love others.

4.      Pray for Revival – Revival is so much more than a week long evangelistic campaign. It is a movement of God where His Presence is made manifest and His people are reawakened to his majesty and their souls are stirred to worship and action.

5.      Pray for Leaders – Pray that God would anoint those in leadership with spiritual power and wisdom. Pray that God would raise up a generation of God glorifying leaders.

6.      Pray for Healing – Pray for the weak, sick and hurting. Pray for the emotional scars people carry. Pray for the hurts of the past both in people’s lives and in the church.

7.      Pray for Perseverance – Suffering is a part of sanctification. It is God’s way of working for the good in all circumstance. Pray that we stick like glue to our Lord and His church through good times and bad. A fickle saint is an oxymoron!

8.      Pray for Hunger – A people who hunger after God will love His Word and seek him constantly in prayer. Pray that nothing satisfies our spiritual appetites but Christ alone.

9.      Pray for Mission – the church exists for the world. Pray that we will be a people who heed the call of God to go in His name with His message of hope and salvation. Pray that we would all be on mission!

10.  Pray for Unity - Jesus prayed that we would be one as He is one with His Father. Pray that we would not allow Satan to divide us. Pray that we stayed focus on what really matters and not on petty issues. When we are standing before the Judgement Seat of Christ what matters most then must matter most now.
